About The Town of Fairview

The Town of Fairview, incorporated in 1958, is a progressive community located in Collin County. For many years, it remained a quiet, somewhat isolated community north of Dallas, Texas. While the 2000 census reported the population of Fairview as 2,664, the 2010 census reflected the growth of Fairview listing the population at 7,248 residents. The town is considered to be a unique oasis in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex due to its combination of small town living and big city amenities.

Through a thoughtfully and carefully designed Comprehensive Plan, Fairview has developed into a place that offers an abundance of economic opportunity while maintaining residential settings that are true to the town's mantra of "Keeping it Country".

A key element of the Comprehensive Plan is a well-crafted Commercial Planned Development District (CPDD). The CPDD is an area of over 800 acres strategically located east of U.S. Highway 75 and generally west of State Highway 5. The CPDD offers unique zoning that allows for commercial, retail, single-family and multi-family uses.

The Village at Fairview, a mixed use lifestyle center developed by The MGHerring Group opened in 2009. This lifestyle center currently provides over 500,000 square feet of upscale retail space, quality restaurants, and residential above retail units. Anchoring The Village at Fairview are Macy's, Dillard's, The Container Store, J.C. Penney and Whole Foods.

While located outside the town limits, The Fairview Soccer Complex occupies 74 acres of land owned by The Town of Fairview and leased to the Aysses Soccer Club. When fully built out, this complex will have not only have world class soccer fields, but also housing for elite soccer players as they come to the Fairview area to hone their playing skills. This top of the line facility will also be home to a park, an amphitheater and walking trails while offering space for local recreational soccer. Teams from all over the world will come to The Fairview Soccer Complex to compete against the best of the best and what better way to spend their leisure time than sleeping, eating and shopping in Fairview.

A quality education is one of the cornerstones of sustained, long-term economic development. Fairview is fortunate to be served by two school districts recognized for their commitment to quality education, the McKinney and Lovejoy Independent School Districts. In addition to fine academic programs, these school districts offer a well-rounded menu of extracurricular activities. Located nearby, Collin County Community College offers a wide range of classes for those seeking a degree or merely wanting to increase their knowledge.

Noah's of Fairview is a venue for meetings, weddings, family reunions and any other type of live event that requires meeting or banquet space. The facility has over 8,000 square feet of rentable space and can accommodate both large and small groups. Currently the facility is expected to bring in over 20,000 visitors a year into The Village at Fairview. For more information on Noah's, visit www.mynoahs.com.
